THE DISCOVERY OF PURPOSE AND PASSION

When nothing is missing then there is no need for a discovery. But if there is need for something, then there is need for discovery.
At a time in the world when there was a small pox disease, there came the need for the discovery of the solution to the small pox disease.
Discovery means to become aware of something that you were not aware of before. Therefore the discovery of purpose means to be aware of purpose and all its intricacies.

PURPOSE

It is very important to know the meaning of a concept which is necessary for a proper understanding of the concept so as be able to apply it.
The concept of Purpose has the following meaning;
-         The original intention of a thing
-         The reason for the creation of a thing
-         The “why” before the how
-         The original idea before the invention of a thing
-         The end before the beginning.

OTHER RELATED WORDS TO PURPOSE

The Bible reiterates several words in relation to the concept of purpose. When you see words like Precept, Law, Command, Decrees, Statute and Ways; they all point to one word Purpose”.

Proverbs 19:21,

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

PRINCIPLE OF PURPOSE

The word “purpose” is a fusion of two words; prince + ciple. The word prince means first, as it is related to the first son of a king, while ciple in the Greek word is related to the word law. Therefore when you fuse them together you get the term “First Law”.

Purpose has seven vital principles and they are as follows;

1.     God is a God of purpose: what this means is that God’s plans, agendas, ways etc are all inclined to his original purpose. It connotes that God does not do anything without a reason. It also connotes that everything about God is tied around his purpose.
2.     God created everything with a purpose: this connotes that all the trees, the birds, the waters, the oceans, the snakes, rodents, cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants, hills, mountains etc are all created with a purpose. Nothing God ever created exits without a reason.
3.     Not every purpose is known: this connotes that as humans, we might still not be able enough to know all the purposes of God because we have lost God’s original intent for the earth.
4.     Where purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable: when we do not know why something has been manufactured or created, we are likely to misuse it thereby abusing its original intent.
5.     To discover the purpose of something, never ask the creation; ask the manufacturer: you cannot know the true purpose of a thing if you do not ask the maker or manufacturer of that thing.
6.     We find our purpose only in the mind of our maker
7.     God’s purpose is our fulfillment.

“The fact that you are alive is a proof that there is something already finished that you were born to start”

Purpose is a pointer to our Assignment. It is important to state that we were not just born to survive under the planet earth; we were not created to add up to the human race, we were not created to just exist in the human stratosphere, we were born to fulfillment an assignment which is inclined to our purpose.
Assignment
It is a task or a piece of work that one is given to do.
It is very imperative we understand that we were born to fulfill an assignment. Here are some facts you need to know about purpose
1.     Your purpose determines your assignment
2.     Your assignment determines your attainment.
3.     Your attainment determines your fulfillment
4.     Your alignment to your life’s assignment reveals your true endowment which is an embellishment and a necessary requirement for your personal accomplishment and achievement.

PASSION

Nothing is so important like a passion. Purpose reveals ones original assignment while passion is the vehicle needed to fulfilling the assignment. Passion has several terms in relation to it. Passion has the following terms:
1.     It is propelling factor
2.     A burning intensity for something
3.     A compelling effort
4.     An inward zeal
5.     A Driving force towards a thing
6.     A strong desire
7.     A heart beat for something
8.     An inner motivation
9.     An internal energy.

IMPORTANT FACTORS ABOUT PASSION

1.     It originated in God
2.     It was originally meant to enforce a positive action.
3.     There can’t be any action without passion.
4.     It doesn’t stand alone; it is always hooked up with something to give it motion.

METAPHORS OF PASSION

1.     It’s the food one need to stay alive. Jesus said, my meat is to do the will of the father and to finish it.
2.     It’s the bedrock upon which all successes are achieved.
3.     It’s the connecting bridge to your destination.
4.     It’s the coal of fire that needs constant heating to always glow.
5.     It’s the pipeline through which streams of ideas passes through into the factory of reality.

Hebrews 12:2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

“Between your aspiration and destination; passion is the connecting factor because it takes passion to endure the cross and despise every shame in order to fulfill your purpose and assignment” – Daniel Miracle Kemka

HOW TO IGNITE YOUR PASSION

1.     Connecting to your source: God is the source of every purpose and assignment, therefore if you need to fan your passion, then you need to connect to God. He is your source and sustainer.
2.     Focus: it is important that you imbibe the attitude of focus that is void of an undivided attention. This is because no matter how passionate you are about your assignment, if you do not have focus you will not achieve your purpose.  Focus helps to ignite your passion when your mind is fixed towards the fulfillment of your assignment.
3.     Inspiration: you need something to always keep you inspired most especially in relation to your purpose and assignment. Whatever it is that will inspire you always should be taken seriously, most especially the Bible which is the word. You need to read it constantly. In addition, you need to hang out with people or stay in an environment that will always inspire you so that your passion will continue to be ignited.
Finally,
purpose + assignment + passion = fulfillment\
